Our Story

Anhinga Coffee Company takes its name from one of Florida's most striking water birds — the anhinga (an-HING-guh), the "snakebird" that glides beneath the surface of our rivers and swamps, then rises to spread its wings against the morning sun. You'll spot them perched along the mangroves, drying their feathers over still, dark water, equal parts patient and untamed.

That's the spirit we put in every bag. We're a Florida-rooted brand inspired by the wild beauty of the state's wetlands, sawgrass prairies, and sun-warmed coastline — from the Everglades to the Gulf. Like the bird that carries our name, we believe in diving deep: chasing flavor with patience, and bringing back something worth savoring.

We don't let our coffee sit on a shelf. We partner with specialty roasters who roast each batch fresh and ship directly to you. That means the beans in your cup were roasted close to the day they arrive — not weeks or months before — so every brew tastes the way the roaster intended: vivid, aromatic, and full of life.

From bright, fruit-forward light roasts to deep, full-bodied dark roasts, each of our coffees is crafted in small batches and sent straight to your door.

 

Giving Back to Florida

Our home is worth protecting. The same wetlands that inspire our name are vital habitat for the anhinga and countless other species — and they need champions.

That's why 1% of our profits is donated to the Audubon Florida, supporting the conservation of the birds, waterways, and wild places that make Florida unlike anywhere else. Every bag you brew helps keep these landscapes wild for generations to come.

 

Our Coffees

  • Anhinga Sunrise  — a bright, light-roast blend of South American coffees with notes of crisp apple, toasted walnut, sweet raisin, and buttery toffee.
  • Anhinga Dark Waters — full-bodied and oily, crafted from Central American coffee with robust character.
  • Anhinga Expedition — Colombian beans with notes of dried orange and berry, balanced by a rich chocolate finish.
  • Anhinga Decaf — Peruvian beans with rich caramel sweetness and a bright hint of citrus, decaffeinated using the chemical-free Swiss Water® Process.
  • Flavored favorites — including Island Vanilla and Caramel Cove for those who like a little sweetness in the cup.
